Interestingly, raw, uncooked chickpeas contain three times as much Vitamin K in comparison to cooked chickpeas. This is important for individuals taking blood thinning medication, as they need a larger intake of Vitamin K. In relation, chickpeas are recommended for those suffering from coronary heart disease.
